Youth learn best by doing. They gain confidence and leadership skills through hands-on learning.
Clatsop County 4-H is for five to 19 year-olds. We provide many learning opportunities. Clubs focus on a specific project or interest. There are also after-school activities, workshops, camps, retreats, overnight events, and leadership opportunities.
What is 4-H?
With more than 6.5 million members, 4-H is the largest out-of-school youth program in the United States. 4-H empowers kids with hands-on learning experiences to help them grow and learn. We provide a safe and welcoming environment where kids thrive. Youth develop the skills they need to make a positive impact on the world.
Interested in joining 4-H?
There is so much to discover in 4-H! Learn about animals, computers, public speaking, cooking, art, gardening, environmental sciences, and more. Join a club, attend a camp, or take part in other fun activities and events. Clubs and other activities are built around the interests of youth. Meet new friends and make a difference in your community.

Volunteer with 4-H
Volunteers are key to the success of the 4-H program. Together OSU Extension 4-H and volunteers create life-changing experiences for youth in your community! Young people learn life skills, connect with adults in meaningful ways, make new friends and help their community thrive.
You will gain new skills in working with others and satisfaction from helping children and watching them grow and develop. Volunteering also provides opportunities for personal learning and growth.
