Lane County 4-H is a community where young people learn citizenship, leadership, and life skills.
4-H learning takes place in 4-H Community Clubs, led by multiple volunteer adult leaders, held all across Lane County. Most Community Clubs meet monthly to discuss successes and challenges they have experienced in their project, give presentations, listen to speakers, update records, participate in hands-on learning games, and many other FUN activities! Project groups meet once or twice a month and give youth an opportunity to go deep on a topic that sparks their interest--like raising chickens, programming robots, growing house plants, drawing graphic novels ....
4-H activities are rooted in positive youth development, helping youth build leadership, citizenship, and life skills. These activities aim to promote positive growth in each area of the 4 H's - Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.
