Lane County 4-H Ambassador Team

The Lane County 4-H Ambassador Team is a great leadership opportunity for teens. 4-H youth 13-18 can apply to become a county ambassador. Ambassadors meet monthly to learn leadership skills, plan county-wide events, and engage in team building activities. Throughout the year, ambassadors will engage in public speaking, marketing opportunities, program advocating, and community service. If you want to learn about leadership or take your 4-H skills to the next level, the Ambassador Team is perfect for you!

Applications to join the Lane County 4-H Ambassador Team become available each year in October.

Oregon 4-H National Conference Application 2023 (in English)

Applications are open for National 4-H Conference, April 14-19, 2023 This event is for older youth (9th – 12th grade) who are ready for that higher level step in leadership and are interested in Civic Engagement. National 4-H Conference is a unique experience that provides the opportunity to learn and put into practice the leadership skills youth have built through their 4-H experience. This event is a true model of how youth and adults can be partners in solving issues that face our communities and government today. National 4-H Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Arlington, Virginia. The Conference will take place at the hotel conference center and in the greater Washington D.C. area. Delegates will experience the excitement of our Nation’s Capital as well as interaction with federal agencies and legislative visits with our national Congressional representatives. This is a partially state sponsored award trip. Oregon selects two to six delegates, depending on scholarship funds available. Additional qualifying applicants may be selected but will be responsible for funding their own trip. Oregon delegates will be selected for (a) their interest in civic engagement and citizenship, (b) their ability to represent Oregon 4-H effectively as public speakers and leaders, and (c) representing the broad perspective of Oregon’s counties and 4-H programs.
