Forestry and Natural Resources

Forests and the diverse natural resources associated with them are an important part of the landscape, history, economy, and way of life in Benton, Linn and Polk Counties. All have a significant portion of their area in forest.

As your local Forestry and Natural Resources Extension agent, my job is to utilize the latest research and innovations from Oregon State University and other institutions to provide science-based education and expertise. Whether you are interested in better managing your land, growing your forest-based business, or are an aspiring naturalist, I am here to point you in the right direction.

Oregon Season Tracker - Community Collaborative Citizen Science

Oregon Season Tracker links volunteers, natural resource managers, educators, and researchers to the science they use.

Contributing to the understanding of weather, climate and their effects on our local environment by reporting precipitation and seasonal plant changes. Observe from your own home, farm, woodland, ranch, or school.

Volunteers are people like you, who share an interest in nature and the outdoors. Join the hundreds of Oregon Season Tracker citizen science volunteers’ already gathering information in over half of Oregon’s counties.
