Entrepreneurship Projects
4-H Business and Entrepreneurship projects inspire and educate young leaders, helping them understand the skills and decisions needed to start and manage their own business ventures. Entrepreneurship strengthens a broad range of life skills, including leadership, problem-solving, communication, goal setting, and empathy.
Through hands-on experiences, mentorship, workshops, and competitions, Oregon 4-H entrepreneurship projects encourage youth to explore innovative ideas, understand market dynamics, and realize the importance of resilience and adaptability in the business world. These initiatives aim to cultivate a generation of forward-thinking, entrepreneurial leaders who are equipped to contribute to their communities
4-H Youth Experience: Aaron's Entrepreneurial Spirit
4-H'ers learn by doing, and 4-H Entrepreneurship clubs are no exception! In Astoria (Clatsop County 4-H), you can see 4-H Entrepreneurs selling their wares at most Saturday Farmers Markets. On the other side of the state, in Baker County, you can buy bath boms created by 4-H Youth Entrepreneurs in the Cottonwood Club.
Through 4-H entrepreneurship projects, youth have opportunities to develop the skillsets and the mindsets necessary to thrive as future entrepreneurs but also as future leaders. These projects help youth grow into young leaders in their communities and provide pathways for youth to turn their ideas into reality. The ultimate goal is to ensure that youth are prepared to be active participants, leaders, and contributors to their communities now and in the future.
