This is where you register for your volunteer shifts at farmer's markets, MG phone/email helplines at Hillsboro, Oregon City, and Portland locations. You can also volunteer at local attractions like the Rose Garden, Pittock Mansion, and many more one-time events.
Certification as a Master Gardener volunteer is valid for one year and recertification is an annual requirement for participation as an OSU volunteer. Annual recertification is REQUIRED to deliver direct educational outreach to the general public as an OSU Extension Master Gardener.
Master Gardeners in the Portland metro area deliver educational programming through 10-Minute University (TM), a program designed to pack research-based information into short presentations. Accompanying handouts have been reviewed by OSU Extension faculty for factual accuracy.
