Thanks for your great picture of — you guessed it — a katydid. Since they don't tend to eat much before they move on to a new leaf, they are not considered harmful and are really fun to watch. If you are raising citrus or plums they may take a bite out of the fruit, but again, they move on, so enjoy this unusual insect.
