The Oregon State University (OSU) Extension Service has been providing research-based, informal educational programs for Oregonians since 1911. OSU Extension faculty are located on the Corvallis campus and in every Oregon county. Extension programs deliver education and information to help Oregonians solve problems, develop leadership skills, and manage resources wisely. Lake County Extension programs focus on Agriculture, Family and Community Health, and 4-H Youth Development.

What We Do

Discover ways to learn and get involved. Here are some highlights of our activities and specialties.

Activities for Youth

4-H empowers young people with hands-on learning experiences to help them grow and thrive. By creating a safe and welcoming environment, young people develop the skills needed to make a positive impact on the world around them.

Forestry and Natural Resources

Our agents and specialists share knowledge about the latest techniques in natural resource management through educational programs and materials. We work with forest owners, foresters and other natural resource managers, educators (PreK-12), Christmas tree growers, loggers and forest workers, and others.
