Delivering nutrition and food safety education in English and Spanish. Presenting canning classes and web-based resources on food preservation and safety.
Oregon State University Extension's Family & Community Development Field Faculty work collaboratively with community organizations and Extension volunteers to develop programs around food safety and preservation, physical activity, nutrition, and other health topics.
We offer educational information for Oregon families to meet the practical challenges of daily life. Our programs address critical issues for individuals and families and helps Oregonians become healthy, financially secure, and responsible members of society. Program activities empower and enable individuals and families manage their resources to meet needs for food and nutrition.
We provide Nutrition Education to limited-resource individuals, children, and adults through our team of Educators in Washington County, and our Metro Hispanic Nutrition Office in SE Portland. Workshops and support are available in English, Spanish, Russian, and more.
