Are you interested in learning about the biology and life history of pollinators? Want to contribute to a larger effort to document the bees of the Pacific Northwest? The Master Melittologist Program might be right for you!
This program was the first of its kind in the world to train citizen scientists to both collect AND curate specimens for a university-led study. In just a few short years, the program has created one of the largest data sets on native bees and their floral associations in the world, and has led to countless new discoveries for the Pacific Northwest.

Are you interested in learning how to become a better beekeeper? Have you experienced problems in the past that you'd like to remedy? Do you want to help others learn about bees? The Oregon Master Beekeeper program is for you!
Participating beekeepers gain experience at three successive levels: Apprentice, Journey, and Master. Each level provides opportunities and support for additional learning, practice in the field, and community service.
If you have little or no experience, the 'Getting Started with Bees' Certificate Program is a great place to start. It is a stand-alone program that satisfies the curiosity of those who want to know more about bee biology and backyard beekeeping through online learning and discussion forums. No waiting list - join at any time!

The BEE ADVOCATE program is designed for those interested in outreach and public education. This program is FREE and open to anyone who engages with the public, such as Master Gardeners or Master Beekeepers, anyone tabling at farmer's markets, delivering talks to school groups, and more.
Participants will learn to use bee educational resources available for FREE from Oregon State University, including infographic cards and seed packs.
