Welcome to the Central Oregon Master Gardener™ volunteer program
Master Gardeners are local volunteers trained by Oregon State University Extension. We share evidence-based gardening knowledge to help people grow healthy plants, support pollinators, and build resilient communities.
In Central Oregon, volunteers connect with gardeners of all ages—through community events, workshops, demonstration gardens, as well as one-on-one help—to make gardening easier, more fun and more sustainable.

Growing community through gardening
Master Gardener volunteers are educators, helpers and neighbors. In Central Oregon, volunteers:
- Grow food for local pantries and schools
- Teach sustainable gardening classes
- Support pollinator habitats and native plant gardens
- Help fellow gardeners through plant clinics, online and farmers markets
