Biography

Kayla spent her early career serving the federal government with the Department of Justice, first as an Administrative Assistant for the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) and later as an Investigative Analyst for the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). More recently, Kayla served as a safety and compliance manager specializing in gold mining and heavy construction equipment. One of the main focuses of that role was to help foster a minimal impact on the environment and supervise the reclamation. Kayla has a vast array of work experience which has taken her to many different areas of the nation. Additional work experience includes business management, civil and criminal law, law enforcement investigative work, and commercial diving.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Management and Organizational Leadership, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors from George Fox University and an associates degree in Criminal Justice from Rogue Community College.
