It's go time to protect and build your soil for the spring! This in-person classroom-based event will cover the basics and highlight extension resources to help you prepare annual and perennial crops such as vegetables, flowers, berries, and fruit orchards for the winter.
Topics will include the pros, cons, and costs of various options such as cover cropping, fallowing, and mulching. We will also have local growers discuss their strategies and experience in prepping their fields for the winter. The goal is for you to be able to develop your short-term and long-term end-of-season soil preparation plans.
