Oregon Sea Grant Extension hosts the public on guided tours to meet Oregon Coast fishermen. Through the knowledge of Extension specialists, Shop at the Dock audiences are shown how to buy directly from fishermen selling off their boats and what to look for in the freshest catch. They learn what it takes to bring fresh, sustainable seafood into our food system and onto our dinner plates.
Currently, Shop at the Dock tours are scheduled during the summer in places such as Newport and Warrenton. In 2020, these happened virtually as well.
