Programs for Producers:
Baker County received $100,000 from the Oregon Dept. of Agriculture to assist with grasshopper and Mormon cricket control in the 2024 year. These funds will be available to reimburse landowners and producers for their expenses in mitigating damage from such pests. Cost-share reimbursements will be available up to 75% of treatment costs, and applications are due September 27, 2024. The Baker County Taylor Grazing Association is offering cost-share funds for rangeland improvement. To submit for cost-share funds bring a copy of your receipt to the OSU Extension Office in Baker City and the completed application.
