Student leaders designed the quests and helped lead quest stations focused upon five different guilds: leadership, health and wellness, technology, arts and natural sciences.
The OSU Extension Service Outdoor School Program, created in 2017, crafted the program’s mission and vision, which is grounded in equity, diversity, access and inclusion.

During the campus visit, the students visit the OSU Seed Lab and learning about parts of a seed and germination. They also visit the Department of Crop and Soil Science building and learned about wheat.
Stockings for Soldiers is a 4-H service project n Josephine County that started when the husband of a 4-H volunteer who was in the National Guard was deployed during Christmas. To date, 4-H'ers in Josephine County have stuffed more than 5,000 stockings.
The field trip program engaged 513 third grade students over three weeks. According to post-event evaluations, 80% of teachers or chaperones rated the field trips a 5 out of 5 for their students.
