The 4-H Youth Development Program empowers youth ages 5-19 to learn by doing. Oregon 4-H supports youth to purse their passions in a safe and welcoming environment and develop skills to learn and lead for a lifetime.

OSU Extension is rebuilding the local 4-H Youth Development Program with help from community volunteers, families and youth.

We invite you to be part of shaping what 4-H looks like in Josephine County. Whether you’ve participated before or are brand new, now is the perfect time to get involved.

4-H Youth Development

What is 4-H?

4-H is the largest out-of-school youth program in the U.S. with more than 6 million members. Josephine County 4-H, a program of OSU Extension, empowers young people with hands-on learning experiences to help them learn, grow and thrive through various projects. By learning alongside caring adults in a safe and welcoming environment, young people develop the skills needed to impact the world around them positively.
