Master Gardener Associations are partner organizations working to support the OSU Extension Master Gardener program. Many of them organize and run community plant sales, with most of these plants grown by Master Gardener volunteers. Some plant sales are small, and some are very large.

You’ll find about 10,000 plants at great prices. Payment can be made by cash, check, credit card, or debit card. Ornamental plants include sun and shade perennials, groundcovers, shrubs, vines, and trees. The collection includes native, deer resistant, and drought tolerant plants. You’ll find about 2,000 pots of native plants for supporting wildlife and enhancing your garden. Special collections include deer resistant and drought tolerant plants. Locally sourcing your plants ensures that they’ll do well in local garden conditions. Vegetables and herbs include 20 different tomatoes, a dozen peppers, eggplants, tomatillos, and much more selected after showing good results in local gardens.
Benton County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your gardening questions and help you find plants suited to your own growing needs.

The Master Gardener™ Plant Sale will offer vegetable & herb starts, beautiful hanging baskets, annuals, perennials, native plants, aquatic plants, houseplants, bare root trees, shrubs, and more. The plants are propagated and grown by Master Gardeners according to “best practices” put in place by OSU Extension in consultation with the Oregon Department of Agriculture to help control invasive weeds, pests, and diseases from spreading throughout Oregon gardens, as well as wholesale purchases and donations from local nurseries, all available at great prices.

The Polk County Master Gardener Plant Sale is traditionally held the Friday and Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend and is the primary avenue for generating revenue to fund Master Gardener activities for the coming year. Check the plant sale website for more information.
