Become a Master Gardener

The OSU Extension Master Gardener™ Program in Klamath County trains community educators who help provide advice and support for the county’s growing community of gardeners.

We’ve updated and redesigned how we deliver the program, making it accessible to more residents of Klamath County and more reflective of community needs for training a new cohort of gardening education volunteers.

To become a Master Gardener Volunteer in Klamath County, you must complete a training program consisting of online classes and in-person garden labs and contribute 40 hours of volunteer service in your first year.

To maintain certification, Masters Gardener Volunteers must complete 20 hours of volunteer service and 10 hours of continuing education annually.

The training course occurs annually starting in February.
