We are so excited that you are interested in Polk County 4-H!
Here is some basic information for the 2023-2024 Program year:
- The 4-H year goes from October through September every year.
- 4-H is for youth ages 9-18 as of September 1st of this year (2023-2024). Youth ages 5-8 can join our Cloverbud program which is our "junior" 4-H program. Cloverbuds are not allowed to work directly with large animals or shooting sports, however we have a county-wide Cloverbud program that is very popular as well as several clubs that will take Cloverbuds and let them join in on many of the activities and meetings.
- For youth ages 9-18 please see the Club Contact List below that gives you a look at some the open clubs accepting new members. Each of the clubs have their own meeting times, meeting place and frequency of club meetings. You are welcome to contact any of the leaders to get more information. Check out the list below! If you need more information please don’t hesitate to contact us.

You can now do your own 4-H Enrollment online. No more paper copies!
For New 4-H members (those joining 4-H for the first time):

Please take the Interested in 4-H? survey lower down on this page. We will then contact you directly to help match you to clubs as well as guide you through the enrollment process.
For Returning 4-H members:
- It is important that you follow the steps in the Family Enrollment Guide listed lower down on this page.
- The link to start the enrollment process is in the Family Enrollment Guide.
- Try your best and if you have problems please email Rachel at the Extension Office.
- If you need to get back into your registration to add or change clubs and projects, you can access 4-H Online here.
- If you have enrolled in 4-H Online and need to pay your child's enrollment fee, you can now do that online. Here are INSTRUCTIONS on how to complete payment online. Click HERE to access the payment portal.
Enrollment Fees:
