Electric water bath canner

When used properly, electric water bath canners can be used to safely can high-acid foods such as fruits, jams, jellies, fruit juices, and syrups. You can also safely water bath can other products that have a tested amount of acid added, such as pickled vegetables, salsa, and tomatoes. Electric canners are a convenient countertop option if your home stove is not suited for the weight of a traditional water bath canner.

For safety’s sake, it’s important to always use tested recipes and techniques when canning. Eating improperly canned foods can make people sick from serious illnesses like botulism. Never can low acid foods like meat, poultry, fish, or unacidified vegetables in a water bath canner.
