The Clackamas County 4-H program offers youth in grades 4-8th, an overnight, week-long camping experience that provides young people the opportunity to explore the outdoors, learn life skills, meet new friends, practice leadership skills, and teaches campers how to live cooperatively with others. This year’s theme is Stars & Constellations.

  • Staff are highly trained volunteers working year-long to provide a safe and nurturing environment while dedicated to the personal growth of youth.
  • Counselors are high school students who have completed over 30 hours of Counselor Training and are assigned to cabins of 6-12 campers
  • A camp nurse is on duty 24 hours a day.
  • A certified lifeguard is stationed at the pool and ponds during all water activities.
  • The experienced kitchen staff prepares three nutritious meals a day.

Campers will enjoy: Acres of mature forest, a solar-heated swimming pool, Archery, canoeing, scenic nature trails, field games and hiking, Arts and Crafts, campfire, skits and singing, at the 4-H Center, outside of Salem

Campers who have completed 7th & 8th grades will have the chance to join in specially designed leadership and team-building activities. These may include a challenge rope course, field trips, and a special camp-out.
