Douglas County 4-H Ambassador Application Packet

4-H Ambassadors were formerly "Teen Leaders". This can be a stand-alone project area. It is both an honor and responsibility to be selected as a Douglas County 4-H Ambassador. You are a representative of your community, Douglas County 4-H, the Oregon 4-H program, and a role model to all 4-H youth. This is a commitment and a leadership role that should not be taken lightly. How To Run a Club Meeting Contest Rules

The purpose of the club meeting contest is to help youth learn about the parliamentary procedure process through direct experience. As they learn how to properly conduct efficient meetings, they will build communication skills and confidence to continue as leaders within their communities and beyond. Through the duration of this contest, youth will be able to: • Demonstrate parliamentary procedure to conduct an orderly and efficient meeting. • Communicate and participate effectively as team members. • Demonstrate critical thinking and teamwork for effective decision-making.

Parliamentary Procedure Contest Rules

Youth members participating in the Parliamentary Procedure contest are evaluated on their ability to conduct an orderly and efficient meeting using parliamentary procedure. This contest is open to 4-H Intermediate and Senior members. Youth participants are judged on their knowledge of parliamentary law and their ability to present logical, realistic, and convincing debate and motions.

Alternative Auction Payment Arrangement Request
