The Bob Cate Memorial Scholarship of up to $1000 is available for Linn County 4-H members who are graduating seniors and pursuing a degree in an agricultural related career. The scholarship will recognize a Linn County 4-H member who has developed a broad based 4-H experience of leadership, community service and 4-H livestock projects.
There are 2 scholarships available through the Linn-Benton Women for Agriculture. If someone you know has been a resident of Linn or Benton County a minimum of two years during their high school education, and either a child or grandchild of a Linn-Benton Women for Ag member OR pursuing a major in agricultural studies, please apply.
Linn County Extension Association offers two (2) Legacy Scholarships of $1,000 annually. This LCEA Legacy Scholarship is based on residency in the geographical areas served by Linn County Extension, the applicant’s financial need, GPA of 2.75 or higher, involvement in 4-H or other Extension programs, community involvement and/or work experience. This scholarship is paid directly to the college or university in the student’s name as part of the tuition.
Requirements: Must be a 4-H or FFA high school senior. Must be involved in at least one of the following market species: swine, goats, beef, sheep, rabbits, or poultry during the 2023 Linn County Fair or have previous involvement with the Linn County Youth Livestock Auction. An award of up to $3500.00 may be awarded each year.
