Our 4-H Short Term Education Program (STEP) classes are a great way to get introduced into the world of 4-H!
Most classes have a maximum enrollment of 15-20 students and are taught at Washington County OSU Extension office unless otherwise noted.
Intro to Sewing STEP Class Series: The Intro to Sewing STEP Class Series is designed for youth 9 through 18 years old. Youth do not need to be 4-H members to register for these classes. Anyone is welcome to learn to sew!

Discover the art of sewing in this hands-on, two-part class designed for beginner 4-H members! Learn essential sewing skills as you create your very own apron. No prior experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm!
Participants will be provided with everything needed to complete their apron. A selection of fabric choices will be provided. All sewing supplies will be provided, but we encourage participants to bring personal sewing machines to the class if available.
Every finished project is eligible to be entered in the 2025 Washington County Fair!
