Horticulture Exhibits

4-H Horticulture Exhibits at the Oregon State Fair are judged before the fair opens to the public, and displayed throughout the fair with their associated ribbons.

Horticulture projects allow 4-H'ers to show off their green thumbs with small container gardens, herbs, vegetables, cut flowers, and flower arrangements.

View your display and ribbons at the 4-H Exhibit Hall during the fair. Please remember, to be eligible to exhibit at the state fair, you need to work with your local program to exhibit at your local county fair or competition first.

Herbs are grown for culinary and craft uses. Culinary herbs are used for flavor or garnish, while craft herbs are often aromatic and used in potpourri. Exhibits should show the part of the plant most commonly used. Herb plants may be grown for their leaves, stems, roots, or seeds.
